Konjac root rice
Vitanu's organic konjac rice is a sugar-free, fat-free, carbohydrate and gluten-free konja rice. It is based on the fiber of the konjac root, glucomannan. Glucomannan has been used as a valuable food in Asian cuisine for many centuries. The konjac root is very rich in water-soluble fiber, which is used in the human digestive tract much better than non-water-soluble fiber. This type of rice therefore has a significantly higher fiber content than conventional rice and also offers a negligibly low calorie content in contrast to conventional rice. This is just 7 kcal per 100g.
Prepared in next to no time
Vitanu's organic konjak rice is not just characterized by its good ingredients. The simple and quick preparation speaks for this ideal rice substitute. Simply put the contents of the package in a sieve and rinse well under running water. Then heat for a few minutes in a wok or pan and serve with a light sauce and steamed vegetables.
